Biography
Si Barber was born in Norwich, UK in 1967. After studying photography
at Blackpool and the Fylde College he worked around the North of England
for a number of national newspapers and magazines before returning to
Norfolk where he continues to freelance.
Statement
"Although I was born in Norfolk, as my father was in the forces
we moved around a lot.
Norfolk to me was a place that was often talked about but seldom visited.
At that time it existed largely as an exemplar of England - a place
where all that was good about Britain existed. Since returning I've
been interested in exploring the gap between the childhood myth and
my adult reality."
