Biography
Dean has been taking photos for many years, with urban landscapes and
modern wedding photography particular areas of interest. After a spell
in the navy, Dean has picked up work over the years as a bouncer, private
detective and crisp packer, before settling in his current job in local
government. Dean currently lives in Scunthorpe with his wife Morgan
and a houseful of pets.
Statement
"I moved to Humberside in 2002, and regularly travel across the
region, camera in hand. The area has a rich past, with the picturesque
Humber Estuary providing the dividing line between Yorkshire and Northern
Lincolnshire. The area has some of the most stark social contrasts in
the country, with many ancient market towns situated within a few miles
of some of the most deprived areas in England. However, throughout my
exploration of Humberside I've been struck by the friendliness, spirit
and generosity of people from all areas of society."
